Are you a Registered Voter?
You’ve heard the old saying, “every vote counts.” And when you heard it you probably had one of two reactions; 1) your right my vote does count; or 2) yeah right. Did you know that Lemoore’s last Municipal Election was determined by 28 votes? 28 VOTES! We are a City of 24,502 citizens; with only 8,344 registered voters. We encourage you to exercise your constitutional right to vote. To register to vote you can stop by the Kings County Elections Office at 1400 W. Lacey Blvd in Hanford, pick up a registration form here at City Hall 119 Fox Street, Lemoore, DMV has registration forms, or register online at the Secretary of State’s website www.ss.ca.gov.
November 4, 2008 Municipal Election
The nomination period for the November 4, 2008 Municipal Election begins July 14, 2008 through 5:00 p.m. August 8, 2008. There are three City Council seats up for election. If you wish to run for the City Council please call 924-6700 to make an appointment with Nanci Lima, the City Clerk to review the Candidate’s Guide and get your nomination papers.
