Building Inspection services are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All inspection requests must be received by 4:30 p.m. to be scheduled for the following business day. Please use the online portal to schedule inspections. Click here for Portal Link.

(The inspection request line (559) 924-6744 ext. 732 will only be utilized for permits that were not issued through the online portal.) 

Permits scheduled through the portal will not be accepted on telephone line.

We are working under the 2022 California Building, Plumbing, Mechanical and National Electrical Code. Effective January 1st 2025 codes will be in effect. – California Building Standards Code (California Code of Regulations, Title 24) .

We encourage residents to contact our office before beginning any type of construction to ensure that the construction is in conformance with City regulations. Approvals are required for not only new structures but also the installation or replacement of patios, storage buildings, carports, air conditioning replacements, re-roofing, etc.
